The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and Formula 1 Management have officially announced that the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2026 has been cancelled for this year. The race was scheduled to take place in Jeddah from Friday, April 17, to Sunday, April 19.
The Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix cancellation comes in light of the ongoing regional developments. The FIA and Formula 1 Management have also stated that no replacement races for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will be held in April, although alternatives to the race are being considered.
While both the Saudi Automobile and Motor Federation (SAMF) and the Saudi Motorsport Company (SMC) expressed their respect for the cancellation of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, they affirmed that the country was fully prepared to host another exceptional edition of the race on its soil, after successfully doing so in five previous editions.
