The chairman of the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA), Eng. Yousef Khamis Al Othmani, announced that a comprehensive plan to upgrade the emirate's road infrastructure is now being carried out.
The idea will improve traffic flow and fulfill the population's expanding requirements by converting several single-lane roads into dual carriageways and connecting them directly to key roadways, he said.
